Confetti Fields

Confetti Fields

On Friday, we managed to prise ourselves away from the garden paddling pool and visited the renowned Confetti Flower Fields in Wick, Pershore. Only open for two weeks each year, the fields are notorious for pulling in crowds from far and wide.

Once you arrive, it’s not hard to see why it’s commanding so much attention. It really is a breathtaking display of the prettiest pinks and purples.

We’re born and bred country girls, but even then it wasn’t the easiest pushing the stroller through the sandy paths between the blooms, but there were lots of young families there doing the same. We’re at that stage where Rosa is getting a bit too big to be carried for long, so we didn’t really have another option. We had a great day out with Grandma (my mum) and got some lovely family photos to look back on. There’s something about being a mum myself now that makes me appreciate the days with my own mother even more. Catching up mostly incorporates the three ‘c’s – cuppa, cake and (lots of) chat.

Rosa was kindly gifted this gorgeous two piece set from the Cotswold Baby Co. As well as being ever so cute, it’s also 100 per cent cotton, ideal during these hot summer months to keep my little lady cool (especially during this heatwave!) I love finding small independent brands to support.

We’d love to come back next year. We’re so lucky the fields are only on our doorstep here in beautiful Worcestershire. I’m so grateful for these maternity leave days with my baby, and I’m looking forward to making more priceless memories over the summer. If this sunny weather wants to stay a while longer, I’m COMPLETELY fine with that.
